A Move For Jenn Foundation Update
Big Changes Means Big Growth To Come....
Hi guys! Jenn here! Well, it has been a minute since I have written a life update blog like this...but with big changes ahead, it felt necessary.
My journey with Move For Jenn started seven and a half years ago when the community rallied around me in such heartwarming and incredible ways. The support for me as an individual organically rolled over into Move For Jenn and you all saw my vision through my own experiences. You believed in me. You supported. You donated. You volunteered. You sponsored. You came to events. You shared our mission. You cried with me. Celebrated with me. You walked this journey with me and I am beyond grateful to have had the support and community that MFJ has now.

I know the support I received, along with the support MFJ has received is not the norm and for that, I am forever grateful. I have been leading MFJ since day one and it has been my passion project. My labor of love. My third child. A role that stretches me professionally and emotionally. A role that has allowed me the platform to lead, inspire, learn and grow. For that, I am forever grateful. This platform has allowed me to come into my own. It allowed me to build relationships with so many individuals and companies I would not have crossed paths with otherwise.
Most of all, it allowed me to be the person I needed when I was going through my sarcoma diagnosis.
The beauty of MFJ is that it has evolved to no longer be about me and my journey. It is about the new people we help daily. The new grant recipients we fund. The new groundbreaking research we help fund. The companies and community that support us, showing the world what showing up truly means. It is about culture, hope, and as I like to say, being the light in a dark space. MFJ has brought so much light to so many (including me) and I am so beyond proud of what we have created together!

With seven and a half years and a lot of personal life changes, I am now in place of growth and change. After I hit five years cancer free, I started to dream about having a professional focus outside of the cancer space, alongside leading MFJ. Life happened to me in many ways and a lot of change came along with it. Now more than ever, it feels time to make a change. For many reasons.
So, with mixed emotions and a lot of excitement - I am happy to share with you that I will be transitioning into a President role with MFJ and we will be hiring a new Executive Director to take my place. This is not me leaving. This is me growing. This is me taking on someone who can help MFJ grow while I also grow – personally and professionally.
This will allow me to focus on the parts of MFJ that I am best at and add value to the organization with a new leader. I have poured my heart and soul into every ounce of MFJ. It is not going anywhere and neither am I.

So with that - who do we know that would like to join our team as our new Executive Director?!
I am looking for someone well connected, outgoing, passionate, authentic, driven, FUN, with a big heart and ready to help us create change! We are ready to expand and grow and we hope our incredible community can help us find the perfect person!
So a big heart felt THANK YOU to everyone for believing in me and believing in the MFJ mission. While we are small but mighty, I know growth is coming and we can't wait!
As for me - I will share my new ventures soon. But for now - just know I will always be a part of MFJ and we aren't going anywhere. We are only getting started...💛
