Move For Jenn x Go Jen Go

Two Foundations. One Mission.
Teaming Up at 24 Hours of Booty to Fight Cancer.

This summer, something special is happening in Charlotte. For the first time ever, the Move For Jenn Foundation and The Go Jen Go Foundation are teaming up to form a joint team for 24 Hours of Booty, a 24-hour cycling and walking event that brings the community together in the fight against cancer.

While we serve different missions—Move For Jenn supports sarcoma amputees by funding activewear prosthetics, and Go Jen Go provides critical financial assistance to individuals and families battling breast cancer—our foundations share a deep commitment to providing hope, relief, and tangible support to those navigating life with cancer.

Over the years, our organizations have often been confused due to our similar names. Because of this along with our mutual love and respect for one another, we decided to embrace the opportunity and come together for something greater! This collaboration allows us to raise awareness for both sarcoma and breast cancer while combining our resources, energy, and voices to make a greater impact.

24 Hours of Booty, held annually in Charlotte’s Myers Park neighborhood, isn’t a race, but rather a celebration of life, love, perseverance, and community. Participants  ride or walk (or even run)  the famed “Booty Loop” for 24 hours, raising funds to support cancer survivorship and navigation programs, all while honoring those we’ve lost and standing strong for those still fighting.

Both of our organizations have been gifted vital funding from 24 Foundation. Joining together to support their largest fundraising event of the year is a small way for us to support an organization that does so much for our community.

By creating a joint team for this year’s event, Move For Jenn and Go Jen Go are hoping to:

  • Shine a spotlight on two lesser-understood types of cancer: sarcoma and breast cancer.

  • Encourage collaboration across the cancer community.

  • Foster stronger connections between the people and families we serve.

  • Raise vital funds to continue our unique missions of support and empowerment.

This partnership is a reflection of what can happen when nonprofits work with each other instead of simply alongside each other. Together, we are reminding the Charlotte community—and the world—that cancer doesn’t fight fair, but neither do we.

We’re stronger together. And we’re ready to ride and stride to help change the course of cancer!
