Can you share how PPS got started, your location, and how long you have been in business?
Certainly! We opened in 2013 in a very small office with just 2 staff members in South Charlotte. We quickly grew and moved to our 7,000 sq foot location in Rea Farms 5 years later. We have 18 fabulous staff members committed to the client and patient experience.

Why is philanthropy and community outreach so important to you and your business?
This has been a commitment from day one. Charlotte is our community and there are a lot of people doing amazing things, but they need resources. We’ve always been drawn to organizations that support kids, women, hunger and homelessness. Since 2013, we’ve given back over $250,000 to non-profits in the Charlotte area.
-
Why did you choose to support MFJF originally and why have you continued to support year after year?
I heard through another amazing organization about MFJF and how they were up and coming. I thought, let’s help them get going so we were involved in the first race. MFJF has done a fantastic job at organizing events and partnering with local businesses...not just our business.
-
What makes you feel connected to the organization?
Jenn and her whole posse just get me/us. They love us just the way we are!
-
What does being a sustaining sponsor for MFJF mean to you?
It just means we’re in a committed relationship. I know what we give makes a difference to the foundation and the recipients for the grants.
-
What is your favorite part of participating in a MFJF event?
The energy I see all around. There is so much love and laughter and smiles.
About Providence Plastic Surgery
Andrew Gear, MD, brings more than two decades of experience to his leadership role at Providence Plastic Surgery & Skin Center. The practice is highly regarded in the greater Charlotte, North Carolina, area, largely because of Dr. Gear’s attention to detail and personalized treatment approach.
