Time with our Friends at Providence Plastic Surgery

We absolutely love our friends at Providence Plastic Surgery. Today we're sharing more about our partnership, why PPS continues to support the MFJ mission, and how PPS can help you!

Hear directly about their business from Owner, Heather Gear below!

  1. Can you share how PPS got started, your location, and how long you have been in business?

Certainly! We opened in 2013 in a very small office with just 2 staff members in South Charlotte. We quickly grew and moved to our 7,000 sq foot location in Rea Farms 5 years later. We have 18 fabulous staff members committed to the client and patient experience.

  1. What are the most popular services that you offer?

    • HydraFacial

    • Botox

    • Laser Hair Removal

    • CoolSculpting

    • And of course surgical procedures like breast augmentations, tummy tucks and mommy makeovers

  1. Why is philanthropy and community outreach so important to you and your business?

This has been a commitment from day one. Charlotte is our community and there are a lot of people doing amazing things, but they need resources. We’ve always been drawn to organizations that support kids, women, hunger and homelessness. Since 2013, we’ve given back over $250,000 to non-profits in the Charlotte area.

  1. Why did you choose to support MFJF originally and why have you continued to support year after year?

I heard through another amazing organization about MFJF and how they were up and coming. I thought, let’s help them get going so we were involved in the first race. MFJF has done a fantastic job at organizing events and partnering with local businesses...not just our business.

  1. What makes you feel connected to the organization?

Jenn and her whole posse just get me/us. They love us just the way we are!

  1. What does being a sustaining sponsor for MFJF mean to you?

It just means we’re in a committed relationship. I know what we give makes a difference to the foundation and the recipients for the grants.

  1. What is your favorite part of participating in a MFJF event?

The energy I see all around. There is so much love and laughter and smiles.

About Providence Plastic Surgery

Andrew Gear, MD, brings more than two decades of experience to his leadership role at Providence Plastic Surgery & Skin Center. The practice is highly regarded in the greater Charlotte, North Carolina, area, largely because of Dr. Gear’s attention to detail and personalized treatment approach.

Education has always played a central role in Dr. Gear’s life. He began his journey into medical training at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia. After earning his medical degree, he completed residencies in general and plastic surgery at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Dr. Gear further refined his skills and knowledge through fellowships in both cosmetic surgery and pediatric/craniofacial surgery.

Dr. Gear has worked in both private practice and within a corporate cosmetic medical structure. That breadth of experience provided first-hand knowledge of both positive and negative ways to run a cosmetic surgery practice. He incorporated the best elements from all those experiences into Providence Plastic Surgery & Skin Center.

Staying connected to other cosmetic surgery specialists and remaining abreast of advancements in his field are both important to Dr. Gear. He maintains membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and received board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Gear continues to seek out education and training opportunities for both himself and his staff.

When you entrust Dr. Gear with your care, you can rest assured you’re in the best of hands. You’ll always learn the full array of pros and cons to every treatment option and be empowered to make a decision that’s right for your specific needs.
