Meet our Newest Grant Recipient, Aiden Hanna!

The Move For Jenn foundation is thrilled to introduce you to our newest grant recipient, Aiden Hanna! Aiden is an incredible 18-year-old from Gibsonia, Pennsylvania.

Diagnosed with osteosarcoma, bone cancer, on his left fibula in the summer of 2022 after being dismissed by his first doctor, Aiden immediately began chemotherapy.

Sadly, even after ringing the bell to mark the end of treatment, Aiden's cancer came back in his right knee the following summer, requiring him to complete surgery and oral chemo. Then, Aiden's cancer returned yet again. This time in his left ankle which required another surgery. Unfortunately, surgery did not go as planned, resulting in Aiden making the brave choice to amputate below the knee, giving him the best chance at a cancer-free life.

Even while dealing with trauma of his own, Aiden knew that he wanted to help others, leading him to start his very own non-profit organization, Aiden's Helping Hands. The mission of Aiden's Helping Hands is to "Shine a light for those who could use financial support while dealing with cancer. Our goal is to reduce the financial burden that comes with this diagnosis, so the families can find the strength and hope to win their battle.

We also know having things to look forward to helps kids as they go through treatments. Aiden's Helping Hands is looking to provide local opportunities to kids outside treatment, so they can have something to look forward to."

Whether supporting a family with bills during treatment or helping them prepare for life after treatment, Aiden's Helping Hands is there to support.

Through Aiden's Helping Hands, Aiden hosted his first ever slow pitch softball tournament on September 7. He is also currently planning his first golf outing for Monday, April 21 at Wildwood Golf Club in Allison Park, Pennsylvania. If you're in the area, learn more about how you can support Aiden's Helping Hands here.

With continued support from the Richard and Mary Morrison Foundation (RMMF), we are thrilled to be able to give Aiden the gift of movement with a specialized running blade. Aiden is an athlete through and through and he has been excited to get back to the sports he loves most, especially baseball. As Move For Jenn connected with RMMF through baseball, it feels like a full circle moment filled with so much love and support!

We would also like to include a special thank you for Rose Grosse, daughter of Richard and Mary Morrison and the connector of the Richard and Mary Morrison Foundation and the Move For Jenn Foundation. As soon as Rose learned about our mission, she knew that it was something that her family foundation would want to be a part of. With their help, we have been able to give the gift of movement to three amazing young adults, Annabel, Hannah, and now Aiden.

We are so happy to see you on the move again, Aiden, and we can't wait to see all that you continue to accomplish!
