More Than 500 Gather for the 7th Annual Pajamas All Day 5K & Community Festival!
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Move For Jenn Foundation welcomed more than 500 attendees to Blakeney Professional Park in Charlotte, North Carolina, for our 7th Annual Pajamas All Day 5K & Community Festival. Because of the support of all involved, we were able to raise over $75,000 to support our mission of providing activewear prosthetics to those affected by sarcoma as well as fund sarcoma-specific research!
From pajama-clad runners and walkers to families enjoying food, entertainment, and festival activities, the evening was filled with laughter, connection, and an incredible sense of community.
This year's event featured a sunset 5K, family-friendly activities, delicious food, an exciting raffle, and a life-changing surprise for our newest prosthetic grant recipient, Bella Reddick!
Most importantly, it brought our community together to advance the Move For Jenn Foundation's mission of providing activewear prosthetic grants to individuals who have lost limbs to sarcoma or other affiliated diseases, while supporting sarcoma research, awareness, and advocacy.
Running, Walking, Rolling, and Strolling for a Cause
The festivities kicked off with our Mighty Striders one-miler, followed by the Kids Fun Run, giving some of our youngest participants the opportunity to join in the excitement.
At 5:45 PM, runners and walkers took off for our sunset 5K, bringing energy, encouragement, and plenty of fun pajama outfits to the course!
Whether participants were chasing a personal record, walking alongside friends, pushing a stroller, or simply enjoying an evening of movement, every step helped support a mission that makes a difference.
We were especially excited to welcome Steve Barringer, a sarcoma warrior with a hemipelvectomy amputation, along with his wife and daughter, who joined us for their eighth 5K of the year! Their commitment to staying active and participating in community events made their involvement especially meaningful. We were honored to be part of their 2026 journey and grateful they chose to make Pajamas All Day one of their stops along the way!
A Community Festival for All Ages
Our Pajamas All Day Community Festival transformed Blakeney Professional Park into an evening of family fun!
Attendees enjoyed an exciting lineup of activities, including inflatables, obstacle courses, yard games, a golf simulator, pumpkin decorating, fairy hair, and entertainment from DJ Nick with Reflex Radio.
Our sponsor and vendor expo also provided opportunities to connect with local businesses and organizations that generously support our foundation.
Of course, no festival is complete without great food! Guests enjoyed an incredible selection of savory meals, sweet treats, and refreshing beverages from our participating food trucks and vendors.
The evening wrapped up with our awards ceremony and highly anticipated raffle drawing, featuring fantastic prizes generously donated by businesses and supporters throughout our community.
A Life-Changing Surprise for Our Newest Grant Recipient
One of the most meaningful moments of the evening came when we surprised 20-year-old Isabella "Bella" Reddick with an activewear prosthetic grant!
After being diagnosed with cancer shortly after graduating high school, Bella underwent an amputation of her right leg just three weeks later. Despite the challenges she faced, Bella has continued to push herself, returning to CrossFit, hiking, and an active lifestyle. But there was still one thing she dreamed of doing again: running.
Bella and her husband traveled to Charlotte to join us for Pajamas All Day, unaware that we had an incredible surprise waiting for her. In front of our attendees, we announced that Bella had been selected to receive a running blade through the Move For Jenn Foundation's prosthetic grant program!
It was a powerful reminder of why this event means so much. Every registration, donation, sponsorship, and volunteer hour helps us create opportunities for individuals like Bella to pursue the activities they love.
We cannot wait to see where Bella's journey takes her next!
